Since the initiation of the pilot LEADER programme in 1992, Ireland has led the way in developing the ethos and broadbased approach that made the programme and its successors the success they have become. Let no one doubt that success. The EU has recognised it by mainstreaming the ‘LEADERapproach’ as a basic tool of its overall rural development policy for the 7-year period from 2007. Over 88% of BNS Grants Allocated.
Over
88% of BNS Rural Developments grant aid budget of €3.6 million has
now been committed to 235 individual projects throughout the companys region
of rural Kilkenny and southeast Tipperary. The E.U.s LEADER+ and the National
