A taster of what is happening during the week.

BNS has worked with the following community groups in the development of community based walking routes:

26/08/2007 2.00pm The launch of the scenic walking trail –The Islands
Urlingford.

Location: The Islands, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.
Event: A guided walk of the Islands, Urlingford to mark the launch of this Scenic walking Trail as part of the Walking Trails of Kilkenny.

24/08/2007 7.30pm The launch of Kilmacoliver Looped Walk, Tullahought.

Location: Tullahought Community Centre, Tullahought, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny
Event: Launch of Kilmacoliver Looped Walk, by Liam Awlyard MEP
Followed by Trad music and refreshments.

26/08/2007 2.30pm Guided tour of Kilmacoliver Looped Walk, Tullahought.

Location: Tullahought Church, Tullahought, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny
Event: A guided tour of the Kilmacoliver Looped Walk, Tullahought, to mark the launch of this Scenic Trail as part of the Walking Trails of Kilkenny. (Please meet at RC Church Tullahought at 2.30pm. All children must be supervised and please wear appropriate clothing and footwear).

30/08/2007 7.00pm Launch of Loop Walk in Castlemorris, South Kilkenny.

Location: Castlemorris Forestry Property, Hugginstown, Co. Kilkenny
Event: Short Opening Ceremony to launch the Loop Walk in Castlemorris, followed by a guided loop walk.

25/08/2007 4.00pm Official Launch of Abbey Meadow Pathway.

Location: Abbey Meadow, Mill Lane, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.
Event: Official Launch of Accessible Path in Augustinian Abbey,
(built 1475) Meadow, Callan.

Event: This guided walk will include a wealth of cultural assets in terms of historic landmarks and architectural sights.
