BNS employs a staff of nine people to deliver its rural development
programmes and provide assistance to entrepreneurs and community groups. Their

| Declan
Rice as
the Manager of the company is the person responsible for the day-to-day implementation
of Board policy and the company's adherence to criteria of LEADER + and the National
Rural Development Programme (NRDP).

| Bernie
Byrne has been with BNS since 1998. During this time she was responsible for
Financial Administrator and Community Development Officer. In 2006 Bernie has
moved to a new role and is now responsible for information provision, and the
coordination of training and education course development. She will also maintain
her role as the Financial Administration for the organisation. |

Eoin Hogan joined BNS as Rural Recreation Officer for the Kilkenny region in April 2008. The Rural Recreation Officers job will involve planning and implementing new walking, cycling and heritage trails in the county. The role is also responsible for the maintenance, marketing and inspection of these trails once they are established. |

| Angela
Campion
is the part-time Community Development Officer and works with communities in south
east Tipperary and north Kilkenny. Angela has been involved in the development
of the training centre in Ballingarry and plays a central role in its development. |

| Christine
Walshe
is the
co-ordinator.
/ Supervisor of the BNS Rural Social Scheme (RSS). The RSS is
an community work initiative focused on supporting the income of smaller farm
families. Christine's work invoves the corrdination of all the RSS workers in
the BNS region and liaising with community groups in areas where the workers are
placed. | |
| Gabrielle
Carroll
is the company's Enterprise Development Officer for the entire catchment area.
She is based in our Kilkenny office and is available to potential or existing
entrepreneurs in the region. Gabrielle has a particular brief for the BNS rural
tourism programme, " food and renewable energy projects." |

| Mairead Rohan
is a Community Development Officer and works with communities in south
and east Kilkenny. Mairead has worked as an administrator with BNS since 2003
during which time she has completed a Diploma in Rural Development. Currently
she is studying for a degree in Rural Development. |

Doheny works part-time with BNS as an administrator. Olive joined the company
in May 2006 and works from our Kilkenny office. She is happy to provide callers
with general information on the company or the LEADER+ programme. If she is unable
