The LEADER + Agency for Kilkenny & Southeast Tipperary LEADER

LEADER (Liaison Entre Actions de Development de l’Economie Rurale)

LEADER+ is the European Union’s rural development programme. Barrow Nore Suir Rural Development (BNS) administers LEADER+ in the County Kilkenny and southeast County Tipperary region of Ireland.

Through LEADER+, the BNS Board of Directors offer grant assistance to communities and small enterprises seeking to improve the quality of life of rural dwellers in this region. Rural projects which demonstrate a significant element of innovation and which may prove useful as models for others are favoured by the LEADER + programme.

 

Quality Policy Statement

Barrow Nore Suir, its Board, Management and Administrative Personnel are all fully committed to the maintenance of their Quality System. To ensure that the needs of the customer are central to its focus the Quality System is reviewed constantly and improved whenever necessary.
The Quality System is an integral part of the Management activity of the Board and is implemented through a comprehensive series of operating procedures and controls. These are documented in accordance with ISO 9001: 2000.

The Organisation place particular emphasis on the following objectives:

To act as the lead agency for the development of rural communities by piloting the development of new technologies and know-how.
To implement the LEADER + and the National Rural Development Programmes to the betterment of all the local communities within the catchment area.
To pro-actively access and pursue any other programmes that may benefit the quality of life of the communities and entrepreneurs of the region.
To maximise the use of available resources and expertise in the region by participating in and ascribing to the cooperative ethos of the County Development Boards of Kilkenny and South Tipperary.
To provide the highest quality of service and assistance to promoters within the company’s budgets and resources.
To ensure a policy of non-discrimination is maintained towards clients, suppliers,
subcontractors and potential employees on the basis of age, disability, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or parental/marital status.
